"And so the story begins in the year 1745. At that time Christian VI was King of Denmark and Norway, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein, on this year a child named Jürgen Jürgensen was born, and he was to have great significance for watchmaking history. He was both the father of the most famous Danish watchmaker Urban Jürgensen and at the same time the founding father of the horological dynasty which was to revolutionize the outdated structures of the clock- and watchmaking craft in Denmark. Through their use of new theoretical findings and practical working methods, they subsequently achieved the highest recognition both in Denmark and Switzerland."
This is an unique timepiece, a vintage Jules Jurgensen wristwatch dated from circa 1940's, it is a manual wind watch, caliber 175, 17 jewels movement, two adjustments, sub second, Swiss made. After 80 years, it still has a stunning two-tone dial with gold applied Arabic Numerals and hands; the dial is signed with the Jules Jurgensen name and "Est. 1740" as well. It has a tonneau case and fancy lugs design, all in 14K yellow gold filled. It is coming with a brand new brown lizard leather strap. This watch is in lovely condition, it is a very attractive looking watch! Runs very well and keeps great time!

We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust light when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.

The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended.
